Tkemali got its name from the main ingredient – tkemali, a plum variety that is used for its preparation. But in modern recipes, other ingredients are increasingly found. For example, apples fit very well into the classic version.

- Plums - 700 g
- Apples - 700 g
- Sugar - 300 g
- Ground cinnamon - 1 tsp.
- Carnation (ground) – 1 tsp.
- Apple cider vinegar - 30 ml
- Garlic - 1 head
- Greenery - 1 bundle
- Salt - 1 tbsp.l.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Remove the seeds from the plum, and the middle from the apples.
Pass the fruits with garlic and herbs through a meat grinder.
Add the remaining ingredients and boil the tkemali for 15 minutes after boiling.
