Baursaks remind me of little donuts. I cook them with milk and yeast, and at the end I sprinkle them with powdered sugar, pour honey or dip jam. This is an amazing homemade baking recipe that everyone who comes to tea with me loves.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Prepare the sourdough. To do this, heat the milk in a bowl, pour the yeast there, add sugar and salt, mix well and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
Add flour to the dough, mix well and leave for 30 minutes, after covering the dough with a towel. After 30 minutes, mix the dough well and leave for another 15 minutes.
Take a saucepan with a thick bottom, pour sunflower oil into it and bring it to a boil.
Form balls from the dough, throw them into the butter and cook until golden brown. Put the balls on a paper towel to get rid of excess fat.
Transfer the baursaki to a dish and sprinkle with powdered sugar. You can also pour them with any sweet syrup or chocolate.
