
The cooking process is long, but not particularly complicated. Follow the steps sequentially, follow the process carefully and you will get a very tasty dry cherry jam. In fact, these are dried sweet berries.
Ingredients
- Cherry - 3 kg
- Sugar - 2 kg
- Water - 1,5 l
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Wash the cherries, pour salted water for 20 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly.
Using a pin or a special device, remove the stones from the cherry.
Cover the berries with sugar and leave for 2-3 hours at room temperature.
Drain the resulting juice, add water and boil for 5 minutes.
Pour hot syrup over the cherries and put them aside to cool.
Put the berries in a colander, boil the syrup and pour the cherries again. Repeat the procedure two more times so that the berries are well saturated with syrup.
Put the cherries on a baking sheet covered with baking paper and put them in the oven preheated to 40 degrees for 4 hours.
Put the dry jam in clean jars and close the lids tightly.
