Ingredients
- Herring (low salt) – 1 piece
- Beetroot (boiled) – 200 g
- Potatoes (boiled) – 200 g
- Carrots (boiled) – 150 g
- Chicken eggs (boiled) – 2 pieces
- Cucumbers - 150 g
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Mayonnaise - 180 ml
- Ground black pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Dill (for decoration) – 1 twig
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Peel the herring, gut and cut into small pieces.

Chop onions, cucumbers and dill, grate boiled vegetables and eggs. Select part of the yolk for decoration.

Lay out layers of herring, onions and potatoes. Add salt, pepper and mayonnaise.

Arrange cucumbers, carrots and eggs next.

Mix the beetroot with salt, pepper, mayonnaise and put it on top of the vegetables.

Decorate the salad with egg yolk crumbs, herbs and put it in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours.
