One of the fastest compote recipes in my arsenal is this recipe with red currants. It will take no more time than properly brewed coffee. So it's a great variety when you want something refreshing.

Ingredients

  • Red Currant - 500 g
  • Water - 1.2 l
  • Sugar - 5 tbsp.l .
  • Lemon juice - 2 tbsp.l .

Step-by-step cooking recipe

Wash and sort the currants. You can leave the twigs.

Add sugar and water, bring to a boil and add lemon juice.

Boil the compote for 10 minutes on low heat.
