Georgian sauce is popular far beyond the borders of its homeland. It is usually made from tomatoes and sweet peppers. Often there are different variations that are also worthy of attention. This, in my opinion, is satsebeli from cherry plum. Let's cook it together!
Ingredients
- Cherry Plum - 1 kg
- Hot red pepper - 1 pod
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Parsley - 10 g
- Walnuts - 100 g
- Garlic - 3 teeth
- Sugar - 3 art.l.
- Salt (without slide) – 1 tsp.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
Cut the cherry plum in half, peel the seeds, chop.
Peel the onion from the husk and cut into large pieces.
Cut the hot pepper lengthwise, remove the seeds, chop finely.
Put cherry plum, onion, hot pepper, parsley and nuts through a meat grinder.
Mix the resulting mass with sugar, salt and boil for 10 minutes over medium heat.
Add the garlic passed through the press and continue cooking for another 10 minutes. Stir the sauce frequently, as it tends to burn.
